|AHIMA Audio Seminar/Webinar Faculty|
The AHIMA Distance Education team is engaging faculty for the 2009 Continuing Education audio seminar/webinars. These nationally broadcast seminars focus on various coding and practice issues important to AHIMA members and their colleagues. Our seminars are 90 minutes long. Typically we plan 60-70 minutes of presentation and 20-30 minutes for audience questions. There is no travel involved, you would present the seminar/webinar via telephone/Internet from your office.
We produce approximately 50 audio seminars a year as part of our members' continuing education program. This year we have had over 11,000 registrations for these programs with a total audience of over 60,000 HIM professionals. Scroll to the Audio Seminar dropdown menu on the horizontal navigation bar (above) for an idea of the scope of our training.
We offer an honorarium of $300 or the recorded versions of four of our future/prior seminars in consideration of the time spent in preparation and presentation of the seminar. Preparation of the seminar consists of a start-up conference call eight weeks before the presentation, submission of slides for your presentation, and a technical conference call approximately one week before the seminar.
