> Get links to download these plug-ins
Note: Please be careful during the download and installation of RealPlayer. During these steps, we recommend that you uncheck ALL checked selections and at the end, close the setup window (use the "X" in the upper right corner) rather than selecting either setup option.

Proctored Final Exams

The Anatomy and Physiology final must be taken under the supervision of a proctor. This means you must ask a manager, supervisor, human resources personnel, or HIM coworker to be in the same room with you as you complete your exam. If you are taking the courses outside of work, you may ask a friend to be your proctor. Spouses or family members cannot be proctors.

Detailed proctoring instructions and forms can be viewed here:

Course Length and Repeat Registrations

This is a self-paced, online course and students are allowed a maximum of 15 weeks to complete the lessons and assessments. Students may complete the course in less than 15 weeks, depending on individual motivation, time available to commit to the course, and other factors. Following are some general guidelines:

  • It is possible for a student who is unemployed to finish the online course in 3 weeks.
  • It is possible for a student who is employed half-time to finish the course in 6 weeks.
  • It is possible for a student who is employed full-time to finish the course in 12 weeks, depending on level of motivation and personal responsibilities.
  • It is estimated that students will need to study between 10 and 15 hours per week for 15 weeks to be successful in the course. However, some students won't need even 10 hours of study per week because they pick up on the material really quickly or because they have additional experience or training that provides a foundation for applying the concepts and principles of Anatomy and Physiology.

Students who do not successfully complete the coursework in the allowed 15 weeks may opt to repeat the course. To repeat the course, a student should simply go through the online registration process again. (Students re-taking the course are required to pay whatever price is listed at the time of re-registration.) Follow the general registration instructions given on the > Orientation page of this website.
