a full, one-day, intermediate-level institute where those with experience

and deepen their expertise. The institute may be taken before or

Building for the Compliance Analyst (4 CEU online course)
In this course, students gain knowledge about billing procedures,
documentation analysis, laws and financial arrangements between
providers, regulatory compliance, attorney-client relationships,
and much more.
- Health
Record Documentation Analysis and Review for Compliance Analysts (4
CEU online course)
This course helps students recognize problem scenarios and then
demonstrates how to deal with the challenges of performing documentation
and compliance reviews. Subject matter revolves around health record
types and content used in compliance reviews, legal aspects, classification
systems and nomenclature, health record elements, clinical data
analysis techniques, documentation review best practices, and more.
- Compliance Analyst Case Studies (5 CEU online course)
Students put theory into practice and apply their learning skills
to specific compliance problem scenarios using real-world case
studies.
- Healthcare Compliance Analyst Institute (6 CEU face-to-face session)
This one-day, intermediate-level institute is designed to help attendees
gain skills and knowledge in implementing and reviewing an effective
compliance plan, preventing and
dealing with identity theft in healthcare, detecting fraud or unethical practices,
and working with attorneys and consultants. The institute may be taken
before or after the
three-part online coursework.
Scheduled once every year, the last session
was on October 7th 2006, in conjunction
with the AHIMA
National Convention and Exhibit in Denver, CO.
